 *  Started Karate at Master Phil Koeppel’s Karate School in March 1974 in Peoria, IL.

 *  Joined the USKA founded by Master Robert A.Trais 10th Dan, in October 1975

 *  Promoted to Sho-dan April 14, 1980 by Master Phil Koeppel in the Shorei system.

 *  Promoted to Ni-dan January 1983 by Master Phil Koeppel in the Shore system. 

 *  Joined the USKK in June 1983

 *  Received Ni-dan certificate from the USKK in June 1983

 *  Promoted to San-dan September 1983 by Master Phil Koeppel in the Shorie system.

 *  Promoted to Yo-dan December 1984 by Master Phil Koeppel in the Shorie system.

 *  Changed style of Karate from Shorie-ryu to Shorin-ryu in March 1985. 

 *  Promoted to Go-dan July 1988 by Master Phil Koeppel in the Shorin system. 

 *  Promoted to Roku-dan June 1991 by Master Phil Koeppel in the Shorin system. 

 *  Promoted to Go-dan June 1991 by Master Phil Koeppel in Okinawan Kobudo.

 *  Became a life member of the USKK February 1991

 *  Opened my own Dojo in October 1993 in Palm Bay, FL. with 23 students. 

 *  Received International Instructors Title “M/Ma” (Master of Martial Arts) in March 1995. 

 *  Awarded the title of RENSHI in August 1996 by Master Phil Koeppel.

 Promoted to Roku-dan July 1999 by Master Phil Koeppel in Okinawan Kobudo.

 *  Promoted to Shichi-dan February 2003 by Master Phil Koeppel in the Shorin system.

 *  Awarded the large double-bladed axe from Master Phil Koeppel in June 2005. 

 *  Received the USKK Grand International Champion award for 1st Place in Black Belt

    Master’s Kata and 1st Place in Black Belt Weapons for the year 2004 - 05. 

 Received the USKK Grand International Champion award for 1st Place in Black Belt

    Weapons for the year 2005 - 06.

 *  Inducted into the USA Martial Arts HALL OF FAME in June of 2007

Received the USKK Grand International Champion award for 1st Place in Black Belt

   Master's Kata for the year 2006 - 07.

*  Received the Alliance points Champion Award for Master's Division in 2006 - 07
